The XT24 DIY Inverter double kit system consists of the following:
1x 1440 Watt 24v inverter
2x Battery Boxes with Isolator switches
4x 12v 105 A/ Hour Deep cycle batteries
DIY setup instructions
Step1:
Cut the Cable ties off on both sides of the Battery box using a side cutter or scissors
Step2:
Ensure that the isolator for the batteries is in the off position
(Very Important !!!)
Step3:
Open the Battery box
Step4:
Remove foam packaging, battery cable & plug adaptor
Step5:
Uncoil the Red cable located inside the battery box & feed through the left hand hole as shown
Step6:
Remove the supplied black cable, feed through the right hand hole and connect to the empty Battery terminal as shown.
(The lug with the larger hole must be connected to the battery terminal. Check that all connections on the battery terminals are tight)
Step7:
Close the battery box. Unpack the XT24 Inverter & User Manual
Step8:
Check that the selector switches are set as follows.

UPS - Inverter should be set to Inverter mode (as shown)
20A - 10A should be set to 10A mode for two batteries
20A - 10A should be set to 20A mode for four batteries


Step9:
Remove the battery terminal cover on the inverter by squeezing the ends
Step10:
Take note of the Positive (+) & Negative (-) terminals. Positive is on the left & Negative is on the right
Step11:
Connect the Red cable to the Positive (+) terminal. Connect the Black cable to the Negative (-) terminal. (When connecting, place the lug on first, followed by the flat washer, then the spring washer and lastly the nut.)
(Check that all connections are tight)
Step12:
Replace the battery terminal cover by squeezing the ends and clipping into place.
(Ensure that the cover is not upside down)
Step13:
Plug the supplied adaptor into one of the outlet sockets of the inverter.
Step14:
Plug the inverters power supply cable into a wall socket & switch on.
Step15:
Turn the Battery isolator switch to the ON position.
Step16:
Turn the inverter on, by pressing the button located on the front of the inverter.
Step17:
To test the system, connect a suitable appliance to the adaptor plug.
Step18:
To emulate a power failure, unplug the inverter supply cable.
The appliance should continue to operate.
Depending on Power consumption
You can run many appliances on your inverter
